Our story
Dinarlive was created by Hedi Hadi. Like many Kurdish developers, i needed a reliable Iraqi dinar and local market prices inside apps and websites. but there was no straightforward way to get those prices from the market through an automated way.
So i built Dinarlive, a service for fellow Kurdish developers who run into the same problem, so you can focus on your ideas instead of scraping or maintaining fragile workarounds. let the burden of getting the data be on us.

When does Dinarlive update its prices?
Dinarlive updates the prices. However, during weekends the prices are not updated because the dollar market is closed, or on any day when the dollar market in Kurdistan or Iraq is closed.
Where do Dinarlive prices come from?
We collect prices from several Telegram channels. For some cities like Erbil and Baghdad, we first wait for multiple channels to send dollar rates, and then if the prices match, we record it. For other cities, because there is less available data, we cannot apply this additional verification step. The channels we use cannot be disclosed to protect our data, but all of them are well-known channels.
Why is the API limited?
Dinarlive is free and requires no account or API key. Requests are limited to 10 per minute per IP so the service stays stable for everyone. Instead of calling the API on every page view, fetch rates every few hours, store them in your own database, and serve them from there.
Can I use Dinarlive in a commercial product?
Yes. You can use Dinarlive in apps or websites you get paid for. No account is required - just respect the rate limit and prefer caching on your side.
